Bought my low mileage 2009 (MY2010, pre-facelift) TT 2.0 litre last September and asked the dealer selling it to replace the cam belt (due at 5 yrs). He told me this had a timing chain. It is always recommended to replace the water pump at the same time as there is no more labour, simply the cost of the pump. Water pumps do wear and they start to leak you'll need to remove the cambelt to get to it. Cambelts shouldn't be refitted. £385 for just the cambelt, £485 with the water pump

Year: 2018. Posted 30 January, 2023. I have been quoted £1016 by Skoda main agent to replace my cam belt (Octavia 1.5TSI). I have a service agreement - £32 per month. Wondering firstly if I can save much money getting someone else to do the belt and secondly who I can use so as to not affect the service plan.
The 2014 AudiA4 2.0 TDI does come equipped with timing belt as stated by the manufacturer. Audi has listed this part as the Camshaft drive belt and the maintenance schedule for the belt is recommended to be inspected every 60,000 miles and You should replace the part every 100,000 miles. Start the engine. Press the CAR button to get to the service menu. From there use the bottom left button on the MMI Controller to CAR SYSTEMS. Scroll to and select SERVICE & CHECKS from the CAR SYSTEMS menu. Select SERVICE INTERVALS. Select RESET OIL CHANGE INTERVAL and confirm. Turn off the ignition and restart to confirm reset is completed.
